what makes us tick

The Rebranding of EarthSpark International

Since its inception in February, 2009, EarthSpark International has grown rapidly - our team has expanded, our projects have taken root, and our vision has focused. Much of our recent progress has been achieved not alone, but rather through significant collaboration with community organizations in Haiti and through the support of our generous donors and patrons.

While as an organization we are wholeheartedly committed to continuing our current projects and pursuing our goals, we have decided to freshly evaluate the outward appearance of our organization.

We will change our name and logo, restructure our website, the organization of our personnel, and formalize the structure of our organization. These are big steps and a big effort, but we believe the result of this process will be a more effective organization capable of sustainable long-term success.

In February, we were generously taken on as a pro bono client of the prestigious public relations firm Rasky Baerlein. In April, we embarked on our rebranding effort with surveys of our collaborators and friends in the energy and development sector in hopes of better understanding what their current impressions of EarthSpark International were.

Over the next few weeks we will hold multiple focus groups in the Boston area to test new ideas for communicating our organization’s mission and to gain additional input from some of our local collaborators and seasoned veterans of the non-profit world. The results of these efforts are being used directly in our pursuit of a truthful and compelling image for EarthSpark International.

This summer we intend to unveil the culmination of our efforts: a new and improved organization, though still focused on our same projects and goals. We invite your input on our efforts and remain gracious of your support and encouragement as we work to make EarthSpark International a more effective and far-reaching organization.
